Studio Policies - General
Session fees:
Your session fee (experience fee, photo shoot fee) includes:
- Pre-portrait consultation to bring forth ideas and input to ensure a successful session. This consultation is also important to see if we are a good fit for each other and that, together, we can assure a fun and rewarding portrait session to create some great images.
- The session fee is payable at the time of booking your portrait session.
- The session fee pays for the time and talent of the photographer.
- Up to 2 hours (30 min. for mini session) of coverage is included on your session date, unless otherwise stated.
- Post session image preparation.
- One In-Person Viewing Appointment up to 2 hours duration to select your images. All decision makers must attend this appointment.
- Your session fee does NOT include any prints, digital files or other products.
- Session fees are non-refundable, however with 48 hours notice, your session can be rescheduled.
- Please bring only the subjects to be photographed to the session. This is especially important with pets and children, as your photographer will need everyone’s full attention. Of course, parents are always welcome at children’s sessions.
- We work very hard to ensure your session is captured artistically and creatively. We ask that you respect our livelihood and refrain from taking photographs of what we are creating. Personal cameras are not allowed during your session. Please refrain from taking iPhone images or videoing.
- While all care is taken in the studio by Janiece McCarthy and her representatives and employees, Artisan House of Photography will not be held responsible in the event of you and/or your family should they become injured during your session or while on the studio premises. Artisan House of Photography and its representatives will not be held liable for any injury to you, your children or your family members, or for any damage to your property during the photo session or while on studio premises.
- You will be asked to complete and sign a Portrait Agreement prior to your photographic session. This agreement must be completed, signed and submitted before any photography session can begin.
- The Studio retains the rights to cancel or void any bookings at its sole discretion.
Rescheduling your session:
- If you (and/or others who are scheduled for a portrait session) are unwell on the day of the session please call, and speak personally to your photographer, to reschedule. We want you to enjoy your day but this may not be possible if you’re feeling under the weather.
- If we are to photograph your child but they are unwell, please call to reschedule. If you bring an unwell child to the studio we may ask you to reschedule rather than going ahead with the session. A further session fee may be payable in this case.
- Please do not send or leave a message to cancel or reschedule your session. The photographer may not receive your message and may be preparing for your photo shoot and/or waiting for you to arrive. Please speak to them personally.
Your Viewing & Ordering Appointment:
- You will view your portraits at a personally attended in-person viewing & ordering appointment. You will be asked to order at this time.
- One in-person viewing & ordering appointment (please allow up to 2 hours duration) to select your images is included in your session fee
- Please make sure all decision makers are present at your viewing & ordering appointment, as additional ordering appointments incur a $100 retrieval and setup fee.
- Due to the nature of photographic products you will be required to pay for your order in full at your viewing & ordering appointment, unless you have arranged a payment plan. There are no refunds.
- Once you have placed your order order your image files will go into post-production. No changes can be made to your order.
- Payments may be made in cash, Visa or MasterCard. A payment plan may be available subject to approval.
- After your viewing and ordering session and the production of your photographic products, the studio may not necessarily host your digital files and cannot guarantee that your files will be available for ordering in the future.
- Product orders and/or digital files cannot be released outside the studio until full payment is made. We do not split orders.
- While your photographer does capture many images during your session, you will see only those images selected by her, the artist, for previewing. Each image is carefully rendered to ensure maximum artistry and technical excellence. Images with eyes closed, heads turned, duplicates, etc. will not be shown and are removed from our archives permanently after the artist rendering is complete.
- Special requests for image re-touching will be honoured at a $75 per hour retouching fee and at the discretion of the artist. Re-touching will be performed to the artists desired outcome and is considered the final version. Artists will not perform any re-touching they feel does fit the image.
- Once you place your order please allow 4 weeks for your products to be completed. Some orders may take longer. Your portraits are an investment and an heirloom that should not be rushed.
- The studio endeavours to keep all ordered images on file for a period of 1 year. Un-ordered images are removed from our archives after 30 days.
- Payment plans may be available either in-house or through an agent. Please discuss this with the Studio. Conditions apply.
- There is no obligation to purchase products from your portrait session, although we hope that you will love your portraits so much that you will want to make a purchase.
Competitions & Offers - Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions: prize/competition winners, promotional or other offers (referred to as ‘Offers’)
- Entries not properly completed will be rejected. Copies or duplicates will not be accepted.
- For Prizes/competitions: winners will be notified by mail, email or phone. The major prize winner will be the first valid entry coupon drawn on the day of the draw. First Prizes are valid for a period of 3 months from the date of draw.
- By entering our Facebook or website promotions, the entrant acknowledges that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with, Facebook in anyway.
- Offers can only be redeemed by persons over 21 years of age who have not redeemed any other Offers in the past 12 months.
- To Redeem any Offers, you must contact the Studio by phone or email within 3 days of receiving the Offer to claim the Offer.
- You may be asked to pay a Booking Security Deposit. This Deposit is not refundable.
- No photographic products are included in the Offer unless specifically mentioned in the promotional material.
- Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other Offers.
- Offers are non-transferrable.
- Offers are non-redeemable for cash, and cannot be used in a photo session together with any other Offers.
- Offers cannot be used towards any existing orders.
- The Studio retains the right to cancel or void any Offers at its sole discretion.
- By entering our competitions or promotions you agree to be contacted by the studio either by email, text or phone call. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Our Studio Policies still apply.
50 Fabulous Women Gala Launch Offer - Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions: prize/competition winners, promotional or other offers (referred to as ‘Offers’)
- The 50 Fabulous Women Gala Launch offer can only be redeemed by persons over 21 years of age who have not redeemed any other Offers in the past 12 months.
- To Redeem the Offer, you must contact the Studio by phone, email or through the Artisan website within 7 days of receiving the Offer to claim the Offer.
- The Offer is for a free photographic session valued up to $495. You will be asked to pay a Booking Security Deposit of $130. This Deposit is not refundable.
- No photographic products are included in the Offer.
- Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other Offers.
- Offers are non-transferrable without approval of the studio.
- Offers are non-redeemable for cash, and cannot be used in a photo session together with any other Offers.
- Offers cannot be used towards any existing orders.
- The Studio retains the right to cancel or void any Offers at its sole discretion.
- By contacting the studio you agree to be contacted by the studio either by email, text or phone call. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Our Studio Policies still apply.
Vouchers - Terms and Conditions
Purchased Vouchers & Studio Gift Vouchers
- The portrait session must be booked prior to the expiry date.
- Vouchers may not be used in conjunction with any other offer or voucher and is not redeemable for cash or any other goods and may only be used as described.
- Vouchers do not include photographic products unless specifically mentioned on the voucher.
- Vouchers cannot be used to purchase portraits from a previous portrait session.
- Vouchers are non-transferrable.
- Vouchers cannot be purchased or obtained or used to promote any other person or business.
- It is advised that you attend a planning appointment at least 2 weeks prior to your portrait session. Without a planning appointment we cannot proceed with your portrait session. Your planning session lays the foundation for planning what we do in your portrait session and photo shoot.
- All promotions and their resulting images are not for commercial use unless otherwise arranged prior to the photography session.
- Failure to show to your portrait session without notice will result in loss of/cancellation of the voucher and portrait session.
- The Studio reserves the right to refuse service at any time.
- There is no obligation to purchase products beyond the voucher inclusions, voucher value or offer. However, we hope that you will love your images so much that you will want to purchase more products.
- The viewing & ordering appointment is to be completed within 4 weeks of your portrait session to redeem your gift voucher.
- Orders/purchases for products over and above the value of the voucher will be paid for in full at the viewing and ordering appointment and before products will be ordered by the studio.
- For vouchers with a dollar amount the client may purchase products beyond that dollar amount. Should they purchase products below the voucher dollar amount there will be no refund of any amount unspent.
- General Studio Policies still apply.
50 Fabulous Women - Terms & Conditions
The 50 Fabulous Women Project & Book Project
The ’50 Fabulous Women Project’ (the Project) is a personal and heart-felt project to Janiece McCarthy (the Photographer) at and Artisan House of Photography (The Studio).
- The Photographer is donating her time and creative expertise in a photo shoot of up to 2 hours. You will enjoy the full pampering experience of the Studio’s Portrait Experience. You may like to choose from the Studio’s collection of beautiful gowns for your photo shoot.
- No products are included but may be purchased at your Viewing & Ordering Appointment.
- This project is a fund raiser to raise funds for The Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund (The Trust).
- The Project is open by application only. The Studio will consider all applications but no application is guaranteed a place.
- The Studio reserves the right of refusal.
- Applicants may be asked to attend a meeting (Planning Appointment) at the Studio where both parties may decide whether or not to proceed.
- Should you be offered a place in the Project you will pay a fee of $120 to hold your place which covers professional hair styling and makeup for your photo shoot.
- The Participation Fee of $75 will be paid by the Applicant directly to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund via a link provided on email by the Studio. This fee is payable any time prior to your photo shoot with proof of payment to be forwarded to the Studio.
- Should you decide not to proceed with the photo shoot after paying for hair styling and makeup the Studio will refund your payment in full. This can only be done up to 2 weeks out from your shoot date to allow the Studio to re-fill your spot.
- If you have contributed to the Trust this donation cannot be refunded.
- Our Studio Policy for postponements and cancellations applies.
- The Studio retains the rights to cancel or void any bookings at its sole discretion.
- Shooting for the Project will be completed by May 30, 2018 or at the discretion of the Studio.
- Our Studio Policies still apply.
The Book Project:
It is anticipated that a coffee table book will be printed with images from the 50 Fabulous Women’s photo shoots.
- You may take part in the Project without committing to appear in the book.
- Taking part in the Project does not automatically gain you a place in the book.
- You may be invited by the Photographer to appear in the book. This is at the Photographer’s sole discretion.
- Participants, when invited to appear in the book, will be provided with an online questionnaire of leading questions to prompt you to write ‘your story’ of how you and/or someone you love has been affected by cancer. It is anticipated that these stories, once written, will serve to encourage and inspire others.
- By returning your survey you give the Photographer, the Studio and their representatives permission to use your words to compile your story for inclusion in the book alongside an image of you taken at your photoshoot by the Photographer.
- The survey should be returned by the due date and in a timely manner so as not to hold up production of the book project.
- The inclusion of images and stories is at the sole discretion of the Photographer.
- Purchase details for the book will be provided to participants.
- A portion (yet to be determined and subject to costs etc) of book sales will be donated to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund.
